IS KAYAKING THE RIGHT ACTIVITY FOR ME?

What to expect when out on the water

How difficult is kayaking?

Most people who are basically active, can walk 5km around town without straining, or do regular exercise have no issues with kayaking!

If you lead a sedentary lifestyle, have mobility issues or poor coordination, then this could be a challenge for you!

What other difficulties can I expect?

We journey through nature, that means there are very few maintained areas or surfaces so you have to be a bit nimble when landing or launching your kayak. You would have to be comfortable walking on rocky or uneven surfaces, in soft sand or even over rocks and pebbles in shallow water.

­I require special assistance / I am an adaptive kayaker

We always do our best to accommodate people with special requirements. But it is necessary to let us know beforehand so that we can discuss it with you and the team to make sure we can offer our product safely or advise as to whether this activity is suitable or not.

Please always let us know if anybody in your group has any relevant medical/other issues (e.g., asthma, visual impairment, mental or physical disability, seasickness, injuries, pregnancy, heart condition, relevant phobias).
